Mortgage Loans and Anniversaries

The national headlines may be about the so-called subprime mortgage market – generally, loans made to home buyers by lenders that apparently had little concern about the borrower’s ability to repay – but the local News of the Day is far more positive. Here’s what we at Greenville Federal see as we look ahead:

Plenty of mortgage loans to fit your needs.

Families and individuals looking to buy new homes or make improvements to their existing houses should be able to find financing – at least at Greenville Federal.

Even though the credit markets have tightened somewhat, borrowers who earlier would have qualified for a mortgage or home improvement loan – or our Greenline home equity line of credit – likely can qualify today. Email us. . . .or call Bill, Nicki, Matt, Earl, Darcy or Mandy, at 937-548-4158, for the latest information.

125 years!

We’re planning a party. Greenville Federal was born in 1883, by coincidence the same year a young man named Bernard H. Kroger opened his first grocery store (called the Great Western Tea Co. back then).

While we’re pretty certain our founders never expected their bank to have an office in a grocery store, GF Xpress Banking at Kroger, or machines where customers can insert a plastic card to withdraw money, our ATMs at Lavy’s Corner Market; the Whistle Stop; McDonald’s on Sweitzer Street; and our Kroger and main offices, or such conveniences as GF Online Banking we think they’d be pleased that, 125 years later, Greenville Federal remains committed to providing quality financial services to its customers.

We’re excited about the next 125 years, too – so expect future messages about our 125 Anniversary.
